Musick: September 2015 Edition

My heartbeat is an 808 machine with bass coursing through my veins. "Musick" is an ongoing series of posts showcasing the music that I loved on Soundcloud the month prior and added to a sets or tracks playlist. To view the full archive from this series, please click here. Enjoy!

It may have been a change of seasons last month, but that doesn't mean there is any difference in the electronic music world. There is only one season: HOT. From a tracks perspective, I really enjoyed the mega smash "Memories" by KSHMR & Bassjackers feat. Sirah. KSHMER is on fire lately after his fire collaboration with Tiësto earlier this year. Speaking of Tiësto, his collaboration with the Chainsmokers "Split" had me going nuts last month with that haunting Ashanti sample. Enough words, press play.

Two big festivals rocked the United States this past month: Electric Zoo: Transformed (where yours truly was in attendance! Recap post coming soon, promise!) and TomorrowWorld. Sets from those festivals are my honorable mentions, but aside from them, I really enjoyed the B2B set from Dillon Francis & his alter ego DJ Hanzel on Diplo & Friends and the deep sounds of Anjunabeats Worldwide 450 with Maor Levi as nice compliment to a lot of the big room house I enjoy. PRESS PLAY!!

Electric Zoo: Transformed, where the techno penguins came out to play!
